Lando’s bar
For this strip’s inspiration please see the video below (I was reminded that non-Americans may be unfamiliar with the advertising campaign). Thanks, Lora! And I fixed the incentive strip too.
Here’s some relevant funnies in the meantime. The Dark Side is irresistible…
Duffman has a handful of STAR WARS action figures and vehicles left, but they are going fast. Go take a look and see if there’s anything you want to add to your collection and help out Duffman’s romantic cause… raising money for his trip to be with his wife and unborn child in Australia.
Email Duffman at Dantes_Shade76@yahoo.com with the item number you wish to purchase and he will contact you back with details on payment and shipping. Paypal preferred. Shipping via USPS flat rates boxes. Orders over $100 in the US and over $200 outside the US will get free shipping.
I’m sure the whole Colt 45 reference has something to do with other stuff the actor(s) have done, but this one just makes no sense to me. Must be a American thing. 😛
Nice ST crossover. 😉
P.s. You might want to fix that left-right mistake in friday’s comic. 😉 Last panel.
Fixed. Thanks!
See the link I just added to the blog post. And don’t feel bad. I was unfamiliar with the 1980s advertising campaign until this year, myself.
Nice! Thanks for including it. 🙂 Now there’s at least some context to the joke.
Such a vibrant purple on Guinan (sp?) 🙂
Ha, I’d forgotten those ads! I love how you include stuff like that.
Any chance of a companion pinup of Lando, to match the Biggs one you use for your Gravitar?
I’d say please but, unlike Colt 45, that doesn’t work every time. 😉
We’ll put it on the “to do” list. Hopefully sometime soon.
EVERY PANEL OF THIS IS HILARIOUS!!!!
OMG. Dying over here. Nice one, guys!!
Glad to see the Ponda Baba running gag continues in the next strip! That has got to be one of my favorite BMS jokes. For me, it never gets old.
Shhhhh! Spoilers! Patience, Luke! 😉
But master Yoda! You can see him in the picture for the link!
Out of all the BMS, this is my new favorite. I’ve been showing it to everyone I can.
So, a couple months ago Billy was here in Kansas City for Planet Comicon and I got to meet him. Very cool guy. Relaxed and friendly. People who had bottles and cans of Colt 45 could actually bring them in and have them autographed in addition to the normal pictures you would have him sign. On a totally unrelated note I also got to meet Edward James Olmos, also a very awesome individual.
