She loves him
This is a big moment in the movie, and it is the fifth time Leia kisses Han. If I’m counting correctly, right ladies? There was that peck on the cheek in the cockpit. Though this is the fifth kiss, it could have been the sixth… if only a certain scene was not cut short.
But first, I want to give a quick update on the status of the Artbook etc orders. All Monday 22nd October purchases of Leanne’s Artbook Vol.1, Sketchbook 2012 and sketchcards commissions were shipped on Saturday 27th. Leanne is now finishing up the sketchcard requests from Tuesday 23rd onward. The sketches take a little more time and we are mailing them out in batches. The rest of last week’s orders should be mailed either Wednesday or Thursday this week, depending on the impact of the mega-super-ultra-storm in our area. Thank you for your patience.

Had it not been among several Han / Leia exchanges that were cut from the film. Some of those cuts were included in the new BluRay releases of the films as extra features, though this deleted Bespin kiss is sadly not among them. Here’s the best example of the scene I could find. I’m just glad that they never included this AWFUL, alternate South Passage scene… that made it into the novelization. Han obviously forgets that Leia’s allegiance to the Rebellion is reinforced by the loss of Alderaan and her family, making the bad dialogue even worse. Time for a Little Blue Milk nostalgia. Here’s how BMS covered the steamier moments of their romance…
It began with “Check this out!” and was immediately followed with “Han Interrupted”.
On Bespin, a hard to get Leia tried “Stalling” and FAILED. Whoa, Leia! Calm down, girl!
It continued with “When the Wookiee’s Away…” Those bed sheet will be burnin’
And here we are today with “She Loves Him”… seemingly their last, tragic kiss… easily the most moving.
But just as things start rolling, their love life goes on hiatus. This Friday will be the last strip you’re going to see Han in his normal form for quite a while here in BMS. However, that does not mean Han won’t still be a part of proceedings. 😉
I can’t wait to see what is in store for Han and Leia now… Any chance there will be a gangnam style reference in the future?
*facepalm* Dear Gods no, no more goddamn gangnam, Ever. It needs to go the way of Power Rangers, just ******* let it die all ready it’s not cool anymore no matter how many times you try to re-do it.
I agree. I checked out this gangnam thing yesterday for the first time, after hearing the word for the last month or so. I didn’t think it was amazing or very funny, personally. And I don’t really want to just be another project parodying EVERY new meme. We’ve done Han Solo and the Cantina peeps performing Smooth Criminal and I think that covers it.

I don’t remember if it’s the same flooding storm, but it probably is, that hit the location for my aunt & uncle’s vacation spot. Dad seemed distressed, I think he said something about the airports cancelling all flights going there. I hope that means they cancel their trip, I do NOT want to call them “Uncle Owen & Aunt Beru”! :S
Hurricane Sandy is going to make landfall soon, at this time of writing. My workplace closes at noon (crazy that it is even open at all today) and tomorrow the office is closed. Leanne’s at home, manning the fort. Conditions are worsening outside and winds could get up to 70 mph +. I hope your aunt and uncle are keeping safe right now. This thing is going to be around for at least another day and last I heard is 1000 miles wide!!!

Leanne’s art style is two black dots for Leia’s eyes, but so much emotion in those black dots in this strip! Excellent work!

I’m hoping Disney will keep the next Star Wars movies going in the same pattern as they originally were (3 years between each film in a trilogy). I always thought it was cool how that happened. However, with the 16 year span between the OT and the PT, the pattern will already have been broken if episode 7 is set for 2015, making it only a 10 year gap between episode III of 2005 and the expected episode VII of 2015.

Imagine an old Luke Skywalker played by Mark Hamil, like old Ben Kenobi, training a new Jedi(s). That is one way the time that has past could work, and still achieve a feeling of connection to previous material.
I agree in Luke/Hamil training new Jedi. We could call it Luke’s angels, and for extra specialness make it into a musical. Imagine Madonna, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga as the 3 Jedi in training, 3 sexy private investigators trying to catch Sith, smugglers and other criminals, and singing their latest hits and dressing in outrageous costumes as disguises!
