I will complete your training
Just a reminder that Luke learned about Sith Training a while back. See here.
Finally, after bearing with us for several months of crossovers and cameos, and intermittent Star Wars scenes, you will be getting pure Return off the Jedi for a while.
We caught wind of disharmony among some of our readers regarding the cameos. This bothers me a little, as we have to prioritize what BMS is to Leanne and myself first and foremost. This webcomic isn’t our job and does not pay the bills, and lately Leanne has been doing the motherload of day job and after hours freelance work to keep us afloat. The fact BMS has been updating twice a week over the last two months is something of a miracle and been largely due to the cameos and tangents enabling us to cut down on Leanne having to provide a lot of new art.
I’ve lent my hand to provide a little of the art used over the last couple of months, for better or worse. I’ve seen certain webcomic creators talk about what they do as a profession. “Make sure you update regularly… never miss an update,” etc etc. The thing is, those guys giving that advice are almost certainly working with an original creation and looking to monetize what they do. BMS has always been a fan project, and since it is non profit, and done in our spare time, life often has to take priority over this fun cartoon diversion. However, I’ve still pushed hard to get two strips up per week over the last few months. I still get asked by people to provide them art and I hate turning friends down, but if it’s not paying then how can either Leanne or myself make the time at the moment? Maybe when and IF things improve over the next few months? Right now, our hands are tied. We really have no evenings or weekends for ourselves.
I’ve been padding things a little, I admit, but at the same time, all the cameos have been important to me, and I’ve enjoyed doing them. For the next couple of months we are back to 100% Star Wars. By the way, if you didn’t like the cameos, blame BMS Boba Fett from way back in 2010 here and here.
