At least make him an offer
My apologies for the late update today. I’ve been recovering from the exhausting, yet enjoyable weekend at Virginia Comic Con.
We met some amazing people who really energized us, mentally — I’m totally drained physically. I know I don’t always look it, but doing these shows is not easy. However, it would not have been possible at all for us without our wonderful hosts, the Wieringos, who gave us a place to stay on Friday and Saturday night and were their usual awesome selves! Without a place to stay we simply could not have afforded to exhibit at the show. So it means a lot and I want to give a special thank you to everyone who gave up some of their hard earned cash for a commission, a print, a storybook or a comic. Thank you so much!
Among our new acquaintances was Kredal “TK-44678” of Garrison Tyrannus, who surprised us with a TK-8008 “White Vader” costume, complete with cape! He’s already being mistaken for Captain Phasma. If TK 44678 stood next to TK 22879 it would definitely create that impression.
Here are some of the photos we took of our favorite cartoon stormtrooper now in 3-Dimensions!
We also got to see a large turnout from Garrison Tyranus and I was able to catch some of them in costume. Another big surprise was seeing our friends Victoria and Kris who came up with another BMS cosplay. Here’s TK 22879 with her Swear Jar as she appeared in our strip “Measuring Up” in 2015.
Here are two of the sketch covers Leanne drew for some of our fans…
And now we have to prepare for our last outing of the year, the single day Southern Maryland Comic Con, in Hollywood, Maryland. This show takes place on Sunday, November 13 at Hollywood Volunteer Fire Dept, 24801 Three Notch Rd., Hollywood, MD. Could be your last chance to pick up one of our BMS Challenge Coins in person!
Please consider supporting BMS, whether it’s through buying one of these auctions, or donating via Patreon or GoFundMe. If you want to donate to us directly through Paypal, then here is the link.
If you subscribe to us through Patreon, you get to see the next set of strips early and get exclusive content. All money helps keep BMS going from the cost of the website to helping with my expensive monthly medical bills and health insurance. We can not publish BMS for sale as it is only a fan project, so we rely on fan support for the project’s continuation.
