Blue Milk Special Holland edition
Poor Delenn! At least Captain Sheridan loves you… for some reason… at least…
Today’s strip stars Star Trek’s Captain Kirk, Blake’s 7’s Jenna Stannis and Babylon 5’s Delenn. Jenna is my sci-fi girl. Leanne once drew a pinup of Jenna for one of my birthdays which you can find at this link here and here. She and Blake are kind of an item, but things aren’t exactly peachy.
And now for some BMS news!
Blue Milk Special Holland edition has arrived!
As I mentioned a month ago, Anton Van Dort has taken up the challenge of translating Blue Milk Special into Dutch. He’s already finished A New Hope! Wham! How’s that for making a splash on debut?
All of the strips are hosted at Anton’s official artist page and on his Google+. You should also check out his own incredible illustrations while you are over there and maybe even get yourself a super awesome commission!
Anton’s work translated Blue Milk Special is being published in the Belgium Star Wars fan club Teekay 421 fanzine. Anton interviewed us for the fanzine to coincide with the debut of the strips. I want to give a special thank you to Anton and TeeKay 421 for the interview and page space. Thanks for accepting Blue Milk into your lives! Here’s a glimpse…
Anton is an artist with a mix of fantasy and sci-fi subject matter, including many beautiful pieces published by Teekay 421. He uses a mixture of mediums like watercolors, acrylics and digital paints to create surreal and romantic imagery. When Leanne and I saw his work we were blown away! I am envious of anyone who is able to work with traditional paints.
We met Anton at Jedi-Con 2014 and were amazed at the quality of his work, but most of all his enthusiasm and can-do attitude toward life. As I’ve stated previously, meeting all these great people is one of my favorite things about making Blue Milk Special. Having a shared hobby as popular as Star Wars has provided an excuse for like-minded, creative individuals to discover one another and become friends. Anton’s work and ethos is really inspiring. Check out his website if you get a moment and take a look. Send him a few kind words!

Please don’t forget we have many items listed on eBay. so please check them out and consider adding them to your own collection. We are trying to raise money to cover some nasty bills.
What a wonderful guy that Anton is! You’re lucky to have him onboard.
Brilliant to see you featured in a print publication too. I wonder if there’s a significant extra chance of long-term exposure when featured in print? People re-read and stumble back across things.
I guess it just depends on the circulation. And yes, Anton is a super-being! I hope you get to meet him someday at one of the local sci-fi cons.
He’s super that each time I see his photo, for a second, I mistake him for me!
Nah, it just looks a bit like me when I had darker, shorter hair 🙂
Dat ziet er geweldig uit !
Ah no love for Delenn. I’d go for that….
Kirk could want both, Jenna in a miniskirt and that women-advancement thing.
Cool to see BMS in print, and in Dutch!
Hey Delenn is HOT!
Oh and Belgium is a very dirty word!

I have never understood the appeal of Delenn…
I think she is an interesting character and an interesting costume / makeup design. But sexy?
Heh, if it’s any consolation for Delenn, there are millions of fanboys that would go for her.
Okay… I’m calling it right now… all these side character jokes are just a build up for a MASSIVE April Fools joke two weeks from now.
Poor Delenn…
I’d have thought Kirk steered away from Delenn because HE was intimidated…
“Only one human has ever managed to make ME swoon. He is behind me. You are in front of me. If you value your life…be somewhere else!”
Perhaps Kirk had heard of Delenn’s reputation?
Delenn is mine. lol 😀
