Blue Milk Special is now listed on iTunes! The podcast, that is. Quite proud of ourselves for receiving their approval, but even more important is that those of you who have iTunes accounts give us a good Customer Rating (BMS is free, but iTunes is technically a store). Although Blue Milk Special is, at its heart, a project that Leanne and I have been publishing for several years, readers like yourself have helped and supported us along the way — to the point that we probably would have thrown in the towel without you guys! So, if your day is slow and you have nothing better to do, head over to iTunes, check out our listing and leave your thoughts (hopefully positive!).

Blue Milk Special Podcast Episode 2!

Released last Friday night in a mad post Thanksgiving Day rush, the second episode of the Blue Milk Special Podcast was recorded on Wednesday 21st and covers news about the Star Wars VII writers. The focus of Episode 1 and 2 has been to catch up with the typhoon of news about LucasFilm’s sale to Disney and the bulk of the Star Wars VII news that swiftly followed. This has been the source of a rather large Star Wars news section in the first two podcasts, but should allow us to focus future episodes on specific themes and topics. One of the more enjoyable subjects we’ve discussed, has been the Star Wars Blu-Ray deleted scenes. You can hear Leanne and I enhance one of those scenes in the latest episode.

In episode 3 we will talk about how we make Blue Milk Special the webcomic. Please leave a comment, or email us your questions on that topic, or anything else you would like us to discuss.

Keep scrolling, because I have more to talk about…

This is a pinup I made to celebrate one of my favorite periods of the Blue Milk Special comic. Now, you can save it to your hard drive, and even print it if you want… but if you would like a nice high quality, high resolution print, to put on your wall, keep reading.

A month ago I shared this pinup privately with our Blue Milk Special Facebook Group. Not the Blue Milk Special Facebook Fan Page, but the Group. There’s a difference. The Group is small, consisting of about 150 or so fans who interact a lot more than the fan page could allow. I also like to spoil them with a few things now and then, like the above pinup. I have more planned. But, if you’re a diehard BMSer, then you might enjoy the Facebook Group. I often consult the Group and test BMS material on them. It’s more intimate and friendly than the casual nature of the fan page. Future BMS pinups will celebrate other scenes and storyarcs and will debut on the Facebook Group.

So, some of you might be wondering… how can I get an actual print of this! Or indeed, our original BMS group pinup?

Leanne and I have both decided that we will no longer offer the prints for sale at shows. We’ve never offered them for sale online. Previously, along with sketches at shows, prints have been a way to help pay for our table and convention expenses. But in an effort to be a cleaner fan project (and poorer), we wont sell them any longer. I have recently sent a few off as thank yous to some of our hard working, long time supporters. But here’s how you can get one of the remaining copies of the two Blue Milk Special prints…

METHOD #1: One way, is that I will throw in a BMS print for free as a thank you to anyone who commissions more than one sketchcard. Leanne currently only accepts commissions for sketchcards if you have purchased an Artbook or a Sketchbook. So, basically, I’m offering a free bonus for anyone who liked their sketchcard so much that they are kind enough to commission Leanne for another. Email her privately for such a request. This offer is while supplies last. Email me if you already commissioned more than one card and I’ll take care of it, but be proactive about it, because I have a lot on my plate and I’m horribly unorganized.

METHOD #2: Action figure trade.

Okay, so I was on ebay and bidding on a Fixer and Camie Comic 2 pack (the Celebration V exclusive) and I got sniped in the last 15 seconds of the auction! I love the Deleted Scenes and have wanted these for a long time but never gotten around to it. So, I had placed a safety bid several hours before it ended, mostly because I have a habit of forgetting the end time — even when I promise myself I wont! In the last 23 seconds, I was still the only bid, but I wanted to be safe, so I placed a second bid, triple the starting bid. Then a couple seconds later I got the dreaded “YOU ARE NO LONGER THE HIGHEST BIDDER ON THIS ITEM!!!!” I don’t think it included the exclamation marks, but that’s how I read it. I couldn’t type fast enough to try to outbid the sniper and I lost.

Not the first time it happened, and I usually bid at the last few seconds myself, but wow! Very unforcey. So, I was pretty pissed off, and still am, but I’ve decided to make an offer. First off though, if anyone is willing to hook me up with a few Star Wars figures, primarily from the Original Trilogy, email me. Otherwise, here’s my offer. I will TRADE a brand new Blue Milk Special pinup for a figure that is on my want list. I pay for packing and shipping of the print, you pay for packing and shipping of the figure.

Here’s my list… Refresh often, as it might grow as I get new ideas, and subtract as I complete the collection. I will consider buying figures from you, but I’m looking for buddy deals here and friendship. I ain’t rich.

WANT LIST (I’ll refine this later in the day when I get time)
Loose figures welcome as I’ll be displaying them. No Power of the Force, please! Not a fan of their simple muscular sculpts.
