BMS End Credits
Here it is. The day we finally conclude the Original Trilogy parody. 8 years, and 1 month in the making (not including lead time before we originally debuted). Where do we go from here? I’ll let you know next week, but rest assured, we’re not done. Star Wars is a big place, after all. Check back on Monday for an announcement of our plans… and for a new strip.
I could get all reminiscent and mushy on you with a nostalgic post, talking about all the good times and all the bad times. But what Leanne and I are both most thankful for are the fellow fans who we probably would never have met had we not decided to draw cartoons every week for the better part of a decade. Right now, I think we’d rather hear what you have to say than ramble about the sense of completion. I’m temporarily allowing comments. See below.
So long and thanks for all the fish !
Love to see what you have up the sleeve next.
Thanks for the dedication, humour and links! Not only have i been able to enjoy your strip the last few months (i found you just this year!) you have promoted other efforts like Living Room Wars and Darths and Droids which i have thoroughly enjoyed.
There is a lot of love in the finished work Rob, so you and Leanne should be very proud of your work here.
Well done to you and Leanne and i wish you all the success with your health and wealth for many years to come.
I’ve been reading since part of the way through A New Hope. Not sure I ever commented, but this seems like the time to do it! Thanks so much for all the laughs! I’ve come back regularly and always look forward to new strips. I’m so glad to see you’re continuing on with one of my favorites! Best of luck and thank you!
Love the art style and the depth of Star Wars EU knowledge. Who else would have spent so much time in the Holiday Special! The entire strip is like a huge in-joke. Some of the jokes I found a bit off color so I wandered off for a while, but I find myself back here enjoying much sci-fi comedy. Looking forward to more EU adventures.
Also an interesting note, I’m also following the Darths and Droids webcomic, and they’re about to wrap up Return of the Jedi as well. Coincidence? I sense a vergence in the Force.
I have absolutely loved BMS, I found it quite late, it was Ackbar’s quip aboout the Bothans he sent to get coffee that drew me in!
I started from the beginning and read them all through from then, took ages but was totally worth it!
And if you’re going on to Zahn’s trilogy, still the best EU there has ever been, well I’ll be as giddy as Salacious Crumb after 20 Red Bulls and Vader’s mug of coffee!
(If it could keep going through the old EU I’d love to see your take on the Crystal Star or Children of the Jedi! It might be the only way I could possibly stomach them any more!)
I just want to tell you both good luck, we’re all counting on you.
Seriously, congratulations on hitting this milestone! I’ve enjoyed every strip of BMS you guys have produced, and I look forward to whatever else you two do in the future. I remember reading some of the early strips and thinking then that there was no way that you’d get all the way though it (this isn’t anything against either of you, it’s more that it was such a monumentally daunting task that I myself would have given up ages ago or lost focus, or gone off to do more financially viable works), I’m so extremely happy that I was utterly wrong (and also inspired me by proving that it no matter how hard it is to realize a dream, it can be done!)
Thank you so much for sharing this labor of love!
May The Schwartz Be With You
Thanks for the journey. I enjoyed it.

Thanks for the years of quality fun! And congratulations on having make it to the (first) end of the project.
Wow! I missed this by a few days. Congratulations on concluding this mighty project. You not only brought us your much larger take on the original trilogy, but also the Holiday Special and ‘Splinter of the Mind’s Eye’!
(8 years? Funny, it’s been about that long for me too as I’m just finishing re-publishing my own SW Fan Work)
Your final scene with Han and Leia is very touching, especially in light of what we now know of ‘The Force Awakens’. A masterstroke. And giving us some pathos and depth, beyond comedy.
So, bravo to both of you! I’ll look forward to your next exploits in the SW universe.
Congratulations on finishing the BMS story! And THANK YOU for making it. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. It hasn’t been easy, so well done for fighting through and ending up with a wonderful comic. Just…no special editions please… 😉
I’m an Assistant Background Artist!
I’ve been following for years and I love the strip… But Thrawns rank plaque is annoying me. That’s the same mistake his Lego figure made.
Keep in mind this is during ROTJ, several years before Heir to the Empire. 🙂 Also, that this is just a comic. 🙂

Hey,
at least you’ve left one stip open to comments! That’s great!
So, nice job. I’ve read this when it was coming out and now I thought I’ll re-read it now, which I did – It’s real fun!
P.S. you should also do the Lord of the Rings 😉
Thanks, Pal. I didn’t realize I still had one of the comments pages open. I’m glad I did. Lord of the Rings is tempting. We are leaning towards an original creation for a future webcomic, in a similar cartoony style. Just so we have more control and options for merchandise.
