Blue Milk Special

A hectic week lies in store for Leanne and myself. Good news: Leanne finished Casper and was able to sketch up what we need for Wednesday thru Monday next week. Bad news: I’m still putting things together and trying to keep ahead. We will maintain the 5 days a week update schedule for as long as we can but I’m not sure if we’ll be able to maintain it beyond the current Boba Fett cartoon parody. However, watching The Empire Strikes Back on our anniversary night (May 21st, also TESB’s anniversary) did give us some additional strip ideas for when we reach that storyarc.

We have another announcement to make. The BMS team has now expanded to include Geoffrey Padilla who is contributing 3D model spacecraft from the Star Wars universe. These are being given a cell-shaded look to fit in with the BMS stylized-cartoon art. You’re only now starting to see these appear in the latest strips, including today’s. Although small in our current strip, the spacecraft will appear more prominently in upcoming episodes as well as revisions to the early strips from our ANH and Interquel storylines. Geoffrey is an up and coming 3D artist and while we’re working with models that were built by many talented 3D modelers in the Star Wars community, without Geoffrey’s help our current and future strips would suffer in quality.

We’d love to see some fan artwork if anyone out there is motivated enough to contribute their work. We have a gallery set up on our Facebook page for just such a thing. 🙂
