Crumb’s advances
You have to watch your back around Salacious Crumb. Threepio knows this only too well. I always loved how Threepio’s first words when he sees Luke is that his master has come to rescue “him”. I don’t think he has any idea what Leia is going through, at all.
Originally, we had planned to upload a huge 8 panel strip, with a big plot reveal this week. But Leanne’s workload has been so heavy that we just had to prioritize her outstanding commitments. Therefore, that strip will now take place next Monday and answer some long standing questions posed by our readers. We also have a new poll. Scroll down for results of our previous poll…
As mentioned repeatedly on this blog, I’m trying to raise as much money as possible to help with medical bills. I’d like to thank everyone that placed bids on our auctions last week to help us raise money. I have some more goodies, especially for those of you that like board games.
If there are any Fantasy Flight Games fans out there, or people interested in obtaining a collectible board game to entertain their friends, then we’re giving you the opportunity to purchase The Fury of Dracula. This is a rare and popular board game from 2005 that is extremely hard to find and worth a pretty penny. Leanne and I have only played it once due to our busy schedules, but aside from some wear and tear on the box lid, everything else is in mint, complete condition. See pictures.
You get to play as one of four vampire hunters from Bram Stoker’s Dracula, or as the Prince of Darkness himself as you chase each other through Europe. A great, atmospheric game with a few drinks on hand, but definitely recommended for advanced board game players. Big rule book and a good investment of your evening.
If you know any board game geeks, please pass this link along to them so we can make sure it doesn’t slip under the radar of Dracula fans. I’m also selling this awesome Invasion of Earth Dalek and Moonbase Cyberman from classic Doctor Who. So if you missed out last time, here is another chance! Thank you so much for looking! 🙂
655 of you voted in the last BMS poll, letting us know how you felt about voting for Palpatine with the foreknowledge that he is a Sith Lord. Surprisingly, 181 of you said you would still vote for him, giving those that would not only a small majority. 15% of the voters felt that voting was a waste of time — I was among them. Most interestingly, 18 of our readers admitted they are not yet of voting age. That’s right, we are now officially a generation X and Y webcomic! 😀
Our new poll asks who your favorite Sith Lord is? See the right side bar for the poll and cast your vote!
So Salacious Crumb earns his name in BMS – most excellent! I think Mr. Crumb is at least one character all expanded universe writers agree died on the barge with Jabba.
Crum must have seen that vintage Star Wars card that shows an “excited” C3P0.

If the FFG 2005 version is a ‘pretty penny’ to own, I wonder how much my GW 1987 version is worth.
I’m guessing a small fortune! Especially if it is in good nick.
I have a copy of that 2005 game. I also have only played it once. I would like to play it again sometime. It was decently made. Really works better with 5 people than with 2. My roommate was playing all the hunters and thus he could strategize without talking so that me as Dracula could hear him. Its in the rules that the hunters have to talk out loud and in a language that everyone understands.
I just noticed that the way 3P0 and Salacious Crumb are posed in the 3rd panel is almost exactly the pose in the classic old sunscreen picture with the little girl and the dog. Was that an ad for Coppertone? Or Sea n Ski? Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
Of course! It’s a classic Coppertone ad.
I’d link to it, but it’s the kind of thing that would never get past the proposal stage these days, let alone be plastered all over billboards. Just google it if you don’t know it.
There was a famous coppertone ad somewhat like that from the 70s? 60s? but I don’t think it was quite the same pose, I think the girl was turned away from the viewer and looking back over her shoulder at the dog
No. But if you find a pic, send it to me.
