Death Star Dinner Party #2
Motti, unable to listen to his beloved cousin’s admiration for a husband whose infidelities remain an open secret to all but her, finally speaks up. Fortunately Lord Vader was on hand. And as we all know, Vader is cool. Tarkin appears to have been spared this time… but how long can that good fortune last?
Meet Lady Thalassa Tarkin, known since her first appearance in the 1978 newspaper strips by Russ Manning simply as Lady Tarkin. A member of the influential Motti family, she oversees their Megonite Moss mining facility on the planet Phelarion. Wilhuff Tarkin, perhaps a Captain or an Admiral when he met Thalassa, married into her family not for love but for their wealth and power. General Motti (Admiral Motti in the Expanded Universe) is Thalssa’s younger cousin and perhaps for this reason is Grand Moff Tarkin’s overzealous right hand man and Death Star supporter.
Lady Thalassa is not known to have ever visited her husband, the Grand Moff aboard the Death Star, but given our exploration of the character in the last couple of weeks it was too good an opportunity to miss. Is Lady Tarkin aware of her husband’s infidelity with Admiral Natasi Daala? Keep reading throughout this week and next to see how things develop for the Tarkins.

I just thought of how ridicolous it must’ve seen to motti about vader’s statement that the force is stronger than a gigantic spacestation that can blow up an entire planet in a single shot. then again, if vader’s secret aprentice, who actually made the rebellion into a structed alliance by starting with jedi purge surviovr ram kota’s rebel militia (it’s those militia’s clothes the rebels are wearing), and then rallying enemies to the emperor on vaders behalf (vader thought creating a rebellion against him would help in the quest of “succeeding” palpatine), could tear apart a star destroyer with the force, why coudn’t an even more powerful sith lord tear the deathstar apart with it? 🙂 also, it’s starkiller’s family emblem that is the mark of the rebellion/rouge squadron
I don’t want to, I really don’t. But I’m reading this after staying up waaaay too long, and if I don’t I’m gonna feel worse.
Rogue.

I’ll have to dig up and post back to my site a little piece I wrote a few years back called “If The Gorgon Be A’Rockin” Don’t Come A’Knockin”!” Same theme; Lady Tarkin shows up unexpectedly at Maw Installation and, well, interrupts something. 😉
Why yes! In fact, we link to your site in our Star Wars Resources section. Love your site and although I’ve only skimmed through the fan fiction section and various notes and photos I found it inspiring. Along with The Diary of Grand Moff Tarkin by Richard Whettestone, your work is part of the reason Lady Tarkin has entered into our strip’s storyline. I do have future plans for her, but right now it seems I’m pushing my luck with the spin-off adventures and people are clamoring for us to get back to parodying the films. We will see how things go. Great work on the dolls by the way and the costumes.
Found it! It’s back up:

And thanks for the shout-out! I quite literally did start when I was 10, and I’m 43 now, and still love it!
He’s gonna die soon in a fiery explosion; I think being caught cheating will be the least of his worries.
For a second I thought SHE was force choking him! XD
