Imperial Tea Party #3
Once again, we’re referencing Alice in Wonderland here. And no, there is no deliberate political subtext re: Tea Parties, but you are welcome to read the three “Mad” Tea Party strips however you like. 🙂 We are drawing to an early close for our Interquel interlude. Although we have 3 weeks worth of additional original material ready to upload, we’re sidelining it until after the Holiday Special. Yes, we’ve moved things forward, hopefully to keep the readers (that’s you guys) from getting bored with our creative self-indulgence.
Starting Monday we will be kicking off with the events of the Boba Fett cartoon segment from the Star Wars Holiday Special. Chronologically, the events of the cartoon segment take place BEFORE the Life Day events on the planet Kashyyyk. We’re also stopping the Tarkin flashbacks for now. I have more ideas scripted but they can certainly wait for now as I pour my available free time into making the Holiday Special parody happen. We hope everyone has enjoyed the Interquel and it’s been a worthwhile distraction.
By the end of this month Leanne’s professional commitments will be concluded and she will be able to start contributing new art to the strip. Most of what you’ve been seeing lately have been my half-assed attempts to keep the ball rolling. Expect some new promotional material, perhaps some pinups which we may make available for sale as prints, gift items like badges and fridge magnets, bumper stickers etc. But best of all, new strips, new characters, and a return to chronological Star Wars parody of the OT. We are still looking to get new readers turned onto the strip so all your support is deeply appreciated. We passed 500 members of our Facebook fan page yesterday! That’s a nice little milestone. Thank you to everyone who has left us supportive comments and stuck with us so far for this crazy fan project.

Methinks Vader really wants to force choke these guys …
😉
Why is a raven like a writing desk? Because Edgar Allen Poe wrote on both of them.
Actually, it’s an example of a riddle that has no answer…Louis Carroll never gave an answer in his writings. Trying to create an answer to that riddle would be wrong (in context) because no answer could be right.
I think that’s part of the riddle itself.
when i was at the 30th celebration in London 07 and checked out the (by then) new line of 30th anniversary SW action figs – including the very awesome McQuarry concept art based figs – I for the first time saw the “Animated debut Boba Fett” fig, which instantly created the thought: “If George dumped this colour scheme for Boba’s more known old and battered green armor, maybe he took a glance back on this one for creating Jango Fett?”
Also, the last few episodes of the second season of the cgi clone wars show features young Boba as the star and his life and social comprehension towards the clones, and his hatred for Mace Windu (I don’t think I need to tell you why) and is more than enough to do much more than just wet the apitite of all Boba fans out there.
PS: Me? well Boba was the one who created my love for the SW BH’s. Sure I first learned about SW after reading about ep. I on the back of a kellogs rice krisps back in 99, but as soon as my dad taught me all about SW I instantly fell in love with that old, worn-out green mando armor as soon as he showed me ep. V know I even know much more bout SW than he ever has 🙂
and i can understand many here probably think i’m one of the very “young” generation of SW fans. but that’s just because i’m very childis, hehe :3
The Force gave birth to me in what we in this galaxy’s timeline would say 1992 AD hm.. isn’t that 15 ABY?
I was busy watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back in 1992. 🙂 Thanks for being a fan, Mr. Al. I was born 1 ABY, myself.
In 1990: I was slaving at a lightbox and animation disc DRAWING Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in a Dublin animation sweatshop. ‘inbetweening’ the crap key drawings of the animators.
After a few hours all my enthusiasm for being an animator was dashed after 3 years of college. I left after 4 or 5 weeks and went freelance working on WORSE stuff. Shamus Culhane’s book had warned me not to go into the studio system after graduation. Did I listen? Nope. Besides, I thought I’d be animating stuff like ‘The Snowman’.
Bitter..?
Everything happens for a reason, John. Well, it does if you believe in that sort of thing. 🙂
This is gonna be awsome once it hits The Empire strikes back. Love what you guys are doing keep it up!
Congratulations, you win the Internet! Keep it up dude!
Cool. What does that mean though?
It’s a compliment. Sometimes expressed simply as “+1 Internet” as a text reply.
