Lobot stalking
We’ve finally set up a Blue Milk Special Forum for readers to converse and discuss the webcomic, Star Wars and everything else that we have in common. Unlike the comments features on each blog post, the Forums allow for much more detail and ongoing discussion, and hopefully a stronger sense of community among those of us who are able to find the funny side of the Force. You can also make requests and suggestions for future BMS strips, cameos and direction.
As the Forum is brand new, this is a great opportunity to jump in and join the community early. There will be many wrinkles to iron out as we get the hang of things. We will be looking for moderators to help nurture and facilitate the discussions.
Now that Lando has joined the BMS team he’s making a few changes around here. We will be shooting for a TWICE WEEKLY Monday and Friday update schedule for the near future and see how that fairs. You can vote and see FRIDAY’S strip at Top Web Comics.
Episode 4: Date of Doom Have you ever been cock-blocked by your room mate? I never even had a room mate, but anyway… I’m sure plenty will relate to this week’s episode of I HATE EARTH. Check out the penultimate episode “Date of Doom”, starring Kevin Conn (Skullo), Jon Hoche (Dirk Dogstar) and Erica Swindell (Karen).
Also check out I HATE EARTH on Facebook and share with your friends.
Woo hoo! Monday. Does that mean I win?
The Forciness is strong with this one…
That’s just the ten pound burrito he is trying to pass.
Wait, that’s why they fired the shots in the movie??? I’ve watched ESB over a dozen times and that never occurred to me.
I’ll explain this more thoroughly on Friday when the current incentive debuts in continuity. Don’t worry, it’s something I never thought about for a long time either.
So how much did Rod pay you to make everyone curious about the voting incentive strip? 😉
Rod PAYS people?!?!?
Hey, I want to re-negotiate!!! ;=
The BMS version makes a lot more sense than the actual movie, especially if Lando is supposed to be considered one of the good guys. Canon Lando couldn’t even give Han and Leia a surreptitious wink or nod to indicate he was under duress? And those warning shots make so much more sense now!
And I love how Darth is such an earnest fanboy! Lobot should give him an autograph just to avoid breaking his little Vader heart!
What’s funnier, Vader appears to have lost his ring finger while doing the Star Trek greeting 😀
I hate to point this out to you, but BMS characters only have 3 fingers and 1 thumb, like Disney. It’s been part of the style from the beginning. 🙂
The whole 3-fingers, 1-thumb thing is jarring to watch normally… Considerably more so when trying to see someone do a Vulcan salute with an odd number of fingers.
Really… why does anyone ever do that? =(
Fingers aren’t difficult to draw!
It’s a stylistic choice for our cartoon strip. And contrary to what you might think, many very good artists do not enjoy drawing hands due to fingers. Hands can be more complex than you think. For a simple cartoon strip it not only makes it quicker and easier to draw, but it sells the fact that this cartoon parody shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
Test post.
I’m a new reader. It took me a week, but I read all of BMS. You guys are awesome.
Who doesn’t like Picard better? 😉
I got’s the Forciness!?! Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. I shall use it for good… except for off days when I will use it for good enough. I shall help the good and give some serious wedges to the bad.
Serious wedges–OF CHEESE!
As much as I love Lobot – the next strip is priceless 😀
I love the way he’s trying to do the salute without enough fingers. So why didn’t BMS Vader make a cyberhand with enough fingers to do a proper Vulcan salute?
I wonder what Steve Jobs would think about the gizmo around Lobot’s ears.
Probably not much considering he’s no longer with us. I wonder what he would think of the Borg in Star Trek? In any case, I doubt Lobot just has a clunky iPod built into his skull. I expect it is significantly more powerful. For example, it probably has a better shuffle feature. 😉
