Mon Mothma’s Suspicions
Meet the newest member of the Hannah clan… “Biggs” the cat. I went to the local Humane Society shelter and picked him up, mostly on behalf of Leanne. He is about 12 months old. Very playful and friendly. He settled into his new home within minutes and has been sleeping on our bed since the first night. He is a bit of an oddball. He doesn’t bother us while we sleep. He waits until we are awake and have made eye contact with him before getting up and coming up to our pillows to say hello. Definitely think about getting a rescue cat if you’re looking to add a pet to your household. For a mere $65 dollars he came neutered, vaccinated and rabies shot, including microchipped and free first veterinary check up coupon.
Sadly he did not come with a cape or mustache. But he did destroy Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter… his favorite toy!
So adorable! I will definitely look at getting a rescue cat when I have my own place and can have pets.
“Oh no, they want to buy a cape.”
“Wait, you mean I’m famous now?”
Thats awesome, and I love the name! Cats are designed to make you feel better, they are great for helping with stress! Hope you guys are doing OK!
That cat looks like he will have a lot of work to do. By work i mean trouble.
I love his expressions. He looks so much like my cat Moire’.
Microchipped!?
So he’s a cyborg.
The Evil Cat Cyborg Army will overthrow the world of pitiful humans, unless we pay tribute in the form of catnip, milk, and yummy vittles!!!
It’s a teeny RF chip implanted subcutaneously in the nape of his neck. If Biggs ever gets lost and someone finds him and takes him to a shelter or vet, they can scan Biggs and it’ll tell them Rod and Leanne’s info. Way better than a collar tag, especially for cats. I work at an animal hospital and we recommend very strongly that every dog and cat get chipped.
Hello Biggs! I love rescue animals. All of my cats (and dog) were shelter pets. One cat was 8 years old when I got her. I named her Veronica. She was a bit distant until I called her by her original name, which was George, for some reason. She warmed up after that.
Great to see that you got a rescue cat.
I think cats make great pets and its nice to see Biggs living true to his name sake and taking on the empire.
A welcome to “Biggs”. May he bring you both much joy.
As for Mon Mothma – Dang their med tech is good. Not even a scratch left after a broken ‘nose’.
Awww….all our cats have been rescues one way or the other. I had to move my Star Wars ships because my latest cat decided she wanted the dresser to sleep on.
Awwwwwwwwwwww. Rescues are infinitely better pets than those inbred little mosters from breeding mills. Kitten season is just starting; if anybody else is thinking about adopting a cat, your local Humane Society is about to be overflowing with homeless kitties. And please consider some of their long-term residents. They’re often shy and get overlooked, and at some shelters that means their days are numbered.
Love the name. And they are great pets too. And good for you getting a shelter animal.
I love how his expression in the top picture is totally uninterested and the bottom one, he looks like he was caught doing something he wasn’t supposed to.
Cats are always so fun.
