Sithter Act – Part 3
I don’t know what else to tell you guys other than that these weirdos are the Imperial Advisors. They are also known as Imperial Dignataries, Imperial Courtiers, Imperial Ruling Council, and Imperial Tea Partyers. Unlike Vader, they love drinking hot tea. Yeah, before coming to America I didn’t even know tea was served cold (iced). There was just one type of tea, and cold tea was to be thrown out. Now I drink iced tea whenever it’s an option, though I still manage at least one hot tea per day. I used to do Earl Gray, nothing fancy. Now I prefer Lipton. So long as I have some good dunkable biscuits (cookies ideal for dunking), I’m set. So, when you see the Emperor and his posse having a tea party, I’m really just showing you a slice of my home life with my imaginary friends.

Leanne and I would like to invite those of you who can make it, to join us at the American Film Institute in Silver Spring, Maryland for a screening of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Yes, it’s the Special Edition, the only version that the distributor will allow to be screened, but it’s still as close as you can get to seeing the original film with an enthusiastic crowd on the big screen. We will be there for the Saturday night screening at 8 pm. Get there a little early so you can get photos with the 501st Legion and Rebel Legion in full Star Wars Episode IV costumes! It will be a LOT of fun. Last year’s Return of the Jedi screening was great, and I guarantee enthusiasm for the film that started it all will be even more electric! Click here.
Lipton! Shun the blasphemer! That stuff can’t even be called tea. It’s wannabe tea.
…
In other matters, still love the comic. 🙂 But seriously; how can you drink that stuff?
“It’s America’s favorite tea.”
Maybe it’s just me, but every time I see the Advisors show up in BMS, I keep thinking the same two words…
“Timelord Rejects.” 🙂
Oooooh, I see a Rassilon cameo coming on…
1- Why am I not surprised that you have imaginary friends? 😉
2- I figure the Emperor keeps his advisors around because Vader took an exhausting amount grooming (3 movies worth) to produce, and the Imperial Guard cost money to train, this leaves the Emperor in need of someone to push out of an airlock, or down a bottomless pit, or to practice his force lightening on, when he gets bored or angry.
Question, isn’t this part 3?
Well observed. I was laying in bed last night thinking… “did I call the latest strip part 4?” And there ya go! I did. 🙂
And then in the South the big thing is sweet tea, as in, “y’all want some swate tay?” For you guys, that’s just over the border into Virginia!
True. I stopped putting sugar in tea (hot) sometime in my teenage years. As a result, I have avoid sweet iced tea as well. I eat enough candy as it is to add sweet tea to my cavity problems. 😉
I make my own tea. At least then I know what’s in it, and no extra chemicals are added.
Yep, I guess I’m the white trash of the tea world. 😉
Is that one of those racist-stereotype-Chinese/Japanese characters from the *spit* prequels? One of George’s best ever and most truly original pieces of dialogue:
“Ahhh yesss… everything is going according to plan.”
Jesus Christ. Please kill me now.
Good God man… LIPTON! What has America DONE to you!!!
Don’t you know that Lipton is the leavings? The leaves swept up from the packing plant after the good stuff is packaged up and sent off to England?
