The Force is strong with this one
Hello again! Welcome to the Blue Milk Special Friday Spectacular! I hope you like the appearance of the first TIE Pilot in the the strip. Yeah, he’s there in the fourth panel if you look hard enough!
Like last Monday, I have added a new flashback strip to finalize a gag I didn’t have the time to put together in our busy month of January. I have also revised a couple of older strips in true George Lucasian fashion. Tweaking those strips that were extra rushed does help me relate more to George Lucas and his Special Editions, perhaps even empathize. That doesn’t mean I think he should have turned his back on the Original Trilogy and their original releases. Too bad all we have is the washed out, desaturated picture of old VHS tape transfers to remember how the trilogy was before all the sore thumb special effect bells and whistles were added.
Anyway, for the new flashback strip please see below. I tweeted about it and linked it from the Facebook Group, but I’m sure it was lost in the shuffle.

Brilliant! Some good ideas coming out of ‘The Last Battle’ Rod.
So now it’s a race to see what kills the TIE pilot fist; Han shooting his ship, or Vader Force choking him for being a smart ass. Seriously, that was funny but pretty gutsy or not to smart on the pilot’s part. If Vader can strangle Ozzel over the viewscreen then I’m sure this guy doesn’t stand a chance.
Nah, Vader wouldn’t do that, would he? Not to his wingman! They’re cool. I’m sure Vader picks his own wingmen, and this one must’ve been around for a while to feel confident enough to snicker at his boss like that. I wonder if Vader will miss his best buddies when they’re gone? Maybe he’d wish he could have their killer tortured as revenge? Maybe subject him to an interesting scientific experiment that he might not survive?
LOL You should maybe add some red glow (from the buttons) on the pilot like in the movie
Actually, I just bought A New Hope on DVD and it has a bonus disc with the (supposedly) original 1977 theatrical version of the movie. I’m looking forward to it… since I have never seen it. >.>
Vader: Okay, YOU try to pilot a fighter during battle, in restricted space…And still manage to hold a coffee cup without spilling a drop the whole time. We’ll see how well you shoot then, won’t we?
